THE FORGE TRAINING PROGRAM

Structured morning and afternoon sessions designed to develop every position—goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and forwards—through focused, high-intensity work.

Separate groups by position: goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and forwards. Total duration: 2 hours.

  • • 20 minutes – Common warm-up: mobility, physical activation, coordination and group activities. Includes simple, competitive games to build energy, teamwork and group spirit.
    • 10 minutes – Water break + group division: players split into position groups. Each coach explains the session theme and main objectives.
    • 30 minutes – First position-specific exercise: technical or tactical work for each role, starting simple and progressing in difficulty.
    • 5–10 minutes – Water break: short recovery, hydration and quick coaching points.
    • 20–25 minutes – Second, more dynamic exercise: builds on the first exercise in a more realistic, game-like context.
    • 30 minutes – Final scrimmage: free or theme-based game to apply the day’s objectives.

AFTERNOON SESSION FLOW

SESSION STEPS

• 15–20 minutes – Common warm-up: dynamic stretching, mobility, activation and ball work to reactivate the body and build intensity.
• 20 minutes – Competitive game situations: high-participation, high-intensity game scenarios linked to the day’s objectives.
• 20 minutes – Theme-based / small-sided games: high-intensity games with specific rules to drive decision-making, rhythm, positive aggression and teamwork.
• 60 minutes – Final game: full, match-like game with minimal interruptions so players can apply what they’ve learned.
• Water breaks: short, organized breaks between activities to maintain rhythm and intensity throughout the session.
